Want an adventure? From the COPE Course at our own Camp McKee to summiting Mt. Baldy at Philmont Scout Ranch, high adventure is here for you!

You can go on many fun and exciting high adventure with your troop, team, crew, or ship! At McKee summer camp, you’ll have the option to take Climbing Merit Badge, or spend the afternoon on our high COPE Course, or both! If you’re over 13, you can even participate in a weekly, co-ed high adventure program – with a theme that changes every week! Living like Lewis and Clark in the Mountain Man Adventure? Done. Spending a week climbing in the world-famous Red River Gorge? Done. Mastering a variety of skills while working towards the prestigious Venturing Ranger Award? Done. Camp McKee is the place to be this summer!

The BSA operates four exciting high adventure bases where your unit can experience unparalleled excitement and adventure! The legendary Philmont Scout Ranch is a working ranch in the mountains of New Mexico. Famous for its hiking trails, Philmont is also host to a wide variety of other activities, such as gold panning, burro packing, and cowboy action shooting. The Florida Sea Base is a place for amazing adventure amidst the Florida Keys, with scuba diving, sailing boats, and even an island! Northern Tier is the epitome of canoeing, set in the many lakes of Minnesota. Home of the National Jamboree, the Summit Bechtel Reserve is quickly becoming known for incredible climbing, whitewater rafting, zip lines, shooting, and more! You can attend any of these bases with your unit, or join a council contingent.
